When can I enroll?

At the beginning of the academic year, all eligible students receive an e-mail informing them of the opportunity to enroll in the Delta Dental and DeltaVision® plans. The current enrollment period will be open July through October 26. Students have the opportunity to enroll in a 12 month or 6 month plan with a September 1st effective date.

For those who did not enroll in the 12-month plan at the beginning of the academic year, or for those who enrolled in the 6-month plan but who would like to enroll for another 6 months, a second opportunity to enroll occurs for a March 1st effective date. Eligible students will receive an e-mail informing them of this opportunity.

How does enrollment work?

If you enroll in the Delta Dental plan, Delta Dental ID cards will be mailed to your home address. You should receive your Delta Dental ID card within 10 days after enrollment. You can also print a temporary ID card through the Subscriber Connection (see below for information on how to register for the Subscriber Connection).

If you enroll in the DeltaVision® plan*, an ID card is not required for vision services. Your vision provider needs the primary enrollee's name and date of birth to confirm benefits and will verify coverage at the time of service.

If you are paying for the premiums electronically with a bank account number, please allow five business days for the enrollment to be activated. If you are paying for the premiums with a check via US mail, please allow 10 business days for the enrollment to be activated. Once your premium payment is posted and enrollment activated, dental benefits will become effective September 1 for the 12-month plan. For the 6-month plan, the effective date will be Sept. 1 or March 1, depending on the semester of enrollment.

Please note: Coverage is not effective until payment is received.
